A Higher Purpose

When Lazarus died
Martha and Mary were sad
Jesus though, when He heard about it
Said that He was glad

That seemed a funny thing
For our Jesus to say
Because He so loved those three
But Jesus was going to be exalted that day

Man just did not know
That God had a higher plan
He didn’t just want to heal
He wanted to resurrect that man

God does not always do
Things the way that we think that He should
He has a higher purpose
He does above, what we think He could

Just because you see no answer
Does not mean that it will not come
Jesus always is faithful
He will be glorified in, what He has done

He seems to always do
Exceedingly abundantly above all
That we can ever ask or think
He holds our hand, we shall not fall

Jesus will always show up
At just the right time
His purpose will be fulfilled
Which is much higher, than yours or mine.
