The Unwanted Guest

A co-worker constantly approached me
To go to church with them
But I knew that the church they went to
Had doctrine, I didn’t want involved in

Finally I got tired of the harassment
I knew that to their church I would never go
So I had a talk with Jesus
What to say, I needed to know

Immediately in my spirit
This scripture came alive
I instantly knew what to do
For on the Holy Spirit, I can rely

I asked the person
“Who is your Lord”
There is only one answer
Written in God’s Word

They seemed to be lost
In a cloud of dismay
They couldn’t answer
They just walked away

No man can say that Jesus is Lord
Except by the Holy Spirit
They could not confess this
As they were blinded, by a demon spirit

Since that time I have learned
That this is a really good test
If they can’t confess Jesus is Lord
Then in them most likely is, an unwanted guest.
