Word from Jesus

Were you there
When I was nailed to the cross?
Were you there?
When for you I paid the cost?

Were you there?
When I was spit upon and ridiculed?
Were you there?
When most said that I was a fool?

Were you there?
When in the tomb, I was placed?
Were you there?
When to most men, I was erased?

Were you there?
When the stone was rolled away?
Were you there?
When my faithful, wondered where I lay?

Don’t tell me
What should be
I paid the cost
For all to be free

Had I listened to the devil
Or Pharisees
You would have no Savior
Nor have life, eternally

Many doubters come
To upset My Father’s plan
But the faithful enter in
Because I hold their hand

Remember, I asked the Father
That this cup, might pass from Me
So I know the struggle
And how difficult it can be

Men will laugh and mock
But they still are persecuting Me
They would have great joy
If through their eyes, they could but see

You can make it
For you, have Me
I have already been through it
And the victory, you will see.
