The Blinders

We face many battles sometimes
Because we have blinders on our eyes
Sometimes there are God’s truths
That we have yet to realize

Jesus allows these battles
So we then can clearly see
Things that we are unaware of
Which have taken from our spiritual harmony

If the battles didn’t come
We would never change
For it’s in these battles
We see the Lord move again and again

When our vision has been blurred
By things that take us astray
Our eyes must be opened
So that once again Jesus can rule our day

He comes and does a work
As the scales from our eyes are removed
He rights some wrongs we have believed
And the hurts He heals and sooths

Tribulation worketh patience
So this battle is not, without hope
The end of this battle brings with it a new ability
With new things we will be then able to cope

Jesus said that when we know the truth
That it is that truth that will set us free
So let’s glory in our trials
As we learn more about the one that holds all keys

As Jesus comes and removes the blinders
And our eyes finally see
New joy will fill our hearts
And we will walk in new victory.
