Our Hearts Void

There is a void within our heart
That we try to fill by self pleasure
Yet Jesus alone can fill this void
As it is designed for spiritual treasure

Man or machine
Or a diamond ring
Money or fame
The world to gain
A job or mate
Will not end our fate
Only till Jesus comes into our heart
Will our search dissipate

We try and try
Yet the void remains
There is nothing that can fill
The place that God ordains
Even though we bow down
And follow after satan
To gain the whole world
Thinking that this is elation

Many people go all their life
And never find God’s peace
They try every sin the devil has
Yet the empty void does not cease
It is only the ones that open the door
When Jesus stands and knocks
That find that the world and all their sin
To life, has just been a roadblock

Yes, there is a void in the heart of all man
That Jesus alone can fill
God almighty designed us this way
And real peace does not come until
We open the door of our heart
And let Jesus the Savior, come in
And allow His Blood to wash away
All of our unrighteousness and sin

The door He will not force open
He leaves the choice to each
He will never go against our will
But without Jesus, Heaven you will not reach.
