WAVES OF LOVE

Love waited quietly at the sea of forgetfulness
He stretched his blanket through generations of time
And said, “I forgive”
Now you may live

My baggage had become too heavy for me to carry
A gentle hand reached out and caught it
Throwing it into the waves
They got lost between the east and west
Now Jesus says, “don’t worry
I will take care of all the rest”.

Blue skies caught me in mid afternoon
Peace crushed the confusion of sin and pain
There is no more room for tears and sorrow
No more time for rain
My Savior rescued me
It is all my gain
