Poetry
The sun above couldn’t be seen
Because the sky was gray.
But I was filled with gratitude
And for me it was a good day.
I woke up from my sleep
After the night faded away.
I could move about freely
And for me it was good day.
There was food enough to eat
Before I started on my way.
I did not lack for anything
And for me it a good day.
I chose the clothes I’d wear
That made me look okay.
It was part of God’s blessing
And for me it was a good day.
I went about my activities
Filled with joy come what may.
God’s presence was strongly felt
And for me it was a good day.
Though danger was around me
obstacles in my path did lay.
But God’s grace was sufficient
And for me it was a good day.
And when the day had ended
Only one thing I could say.
Thank you Lord, thank you,
For keeping me another day.

I like the message in this poem and am impressed by your grateful heart, because not everyone thinks that way.....you are right, we are well taken care of by our Lord, and He preserves our lives-thats a good day, because Good is He who watches over us.
