Jesus the Diamond



Jesus You are a diamond

with many facets

to behold.



I want to know all of you

so that from me

all Your facets may unfold.



You keep giving gifts

to those who are faithful,

revealing the abundant life.



Revelation upon revelation

From faith to faith

your Word cuts like a knife.



You have us

cross boundaries

we'd rather not enter.



But you are with us

as we go and become

more and more our center.



No matter if

it's our sin

or if we face persecution,



to God-following wills

You do bring

a redeeming resolution.



The last trial

I was in was

by far the worst.



But like a mother

with new born child

I find joy in what was birthed.
