I could never fully explain
What thoughts are inside
I know what God is saying
He’s with me wherever I reside

He’s with my wife while I’m in this desert
And comforts my son with warm thoughts of Dad
He’s carrying me through this endless pit of dirt
So words can’t thank him enough that I am not sad

He makes me proud to be here
And proud to make my family proud
In my heart, my wife is always near
Helping me serve my country in this dirt mound

Words are not enough
To express my gratitude
Especially when times are rough
At number one in my life, God is so good
