Christ and The Cross

I once heard a man say "Christianity is one generation away from extinction." To any true Christian that statement is like a dagger in the heart. Whether that statement is true or not, well, no one knows. However, its time we unite as Christians and make that quote untrue. On our judgment date God will say one of two things, well done my faithful servant or else, depart you never knew me. We must go through life keeping our eyes focused on Christ and the Cross.

Todays world is filled with fear, temptation, and sin...its blinds us from the truth and focusing on our life with Christ. I believe as Christians its our duty to treat these problems with the medicine of Jesus Christ and the word of God. Right now civilization to often treats the symptoms and not the problem. Instead of presenting the cure Jesus Christ to the sex indulged teens, the tobacco Dependant parent, we simply present condoms, birth control, and tobacco patches. Until we take a step beyond our comfort zone and stop running from the problems our world creates, we will continue to spiral in a downward fall and collapse at Christs feet when he returns.

There is no doubt in my mind that eventually God will take everything away from us leaving just him. Some of us may have experienced this already some of us are still traveling down that road that will result in this. Its at that point we must choose good or bad, Christ or Satan, Jesus way or the worlds way.

Our life reminds me of a trash can. This trash can is filled with our sin and its by his grace that he died on the cross for our sins in order to empty that trash can. We confess, it becomes empty, but sure enough its soon filled, and whoever shall want to empty that garbage can is free to, as long as you believe in him. Or else it will just keep stock piling and you'll live in a dump. If we loose focus on Christ and the Cross our lives will become a trash can, filled with garbage that never gets emptied. So be careful what you throw into your life...if you feed it with garbage, thats exactly what you will put out and receive. However, feed it with good...then your blessings shall come.
