The Sleeping Giant

The Church has been asleep
It has been in a slumber state
It is time for the church to arise
For there is too much now, at stake

Passive Christianity
Is a thing of the past
If we are to receive from God
Then by force, we must attack

No longer will things
Just be put into our lap
We have gotten so complacent
We have gotten selfishly, fat

We have failed to see
The real war that is going on
We have allowed the enemy
To rule, instead of God’s Son

The church is only as strong
As in power, are you and me
We must take up our weapons of war
And drive out, our enemy

We expect God to bless us
And have a selfish life of bliss
We have expected God to do our will
Instead of our seeking, and doing His

For what reason did Jesus come?
Did He come for just you and me?
Or did He come to save all that were lost
For fellowship, through eternity

There is enough resource
In the world today
That no person that is called by God
Should ever be thrown away

There are many people that God has called
Scattered throughout the land
We must support the one’s that God has anointed
That we may further, God’s infinite plan

We need to walk only where we are anointed
No matter how trivial, may seem the call
And follow to the best of our ability
Through His power alone, stand tall

There is a real hunger
That is sweeping throughout our land
Many are crying out
To see, the power of God’s hand

This will only happen
As each of us take our anointed place
For then we will see such power
That will affect, the whole, human race

For when the body is complete
And has come together as an anointed one
Can you visualize what can happen
For together, we make up, God’s Son

The Church has been a sleeping giant
That has not known the power which they possess
I believe that we are about to see
The sleeping giant, come to its, fullness.
