Christians Sitting on the Wall

There are many Christians
Still sitting on the wall
They have not made Jesus Lord
Of everything, all

They just keep straddling the wall
Not willing to follow all the way
The cost for all in Jesus
They just are unwilling to pay

They like their worldly pleasures
They like being in control
But what joy they are giving up
They really do not know

They have much wisdom
That for earthly riches they do use
But God said that winning souls is wise
So which wisdom did they choose?

They really just do not understand
What true riches really are
The things that are accomplished through Gods’ Spirit
Outweigh worldly riches, by far

Jesus said that He came
To give them life abundantly
Yet until they give Jesus their all
A glimpse of this they will never see

God always does exceedingly above
All that we can ask or think
But to the idea of a walk of faith
They just continually shrink

God said that there is a straight and narrow way
That few that be that find
The reason is many choose to walk
In their natural, carnal mind

The way that God desires
Comes with a great cost
You must be willing to die to self
Or your destiny in Jesus will be lost

Yes, there are many Christians
That on the wall they still sit
That still refuse to go all the way
With the one that Heaven sent

Since they never made Jesus Lord
They cannot fathom to them the true cost
Until they get to Heaven
They will not know all that they really lost.
