Outside My Window
Clouds drift in an autumn sky
Ever so slowly, ever so high;
Here is a ship that floats on the tide
Gracefully onwards, sails billowing wide,
And here is a chariot that rides on the breeze
Flying so freely forwards with ease;
What an amazing world is this
Here outside my window.
Mist lingers on an autumn morn
The world is damp and all forlorn;
Spiders' webs hang everywhere
Like jewels shining in the air;
Dewdrops glistening on the grass -
Don't let this moment ever pass;
What an enchanting world is this
Here outside my window.

Outside my window right now it is pouring down rain with rumblings of thunder and streaks of lightning. I haven't seen it in awhile, and I'm in awe that God could make the earth do this whenever He chooses. Thank you for reminding us that worship can be found as simply as seeing what's right in front of us.
I love this poem. I often find so much beauty and wonder in this awesome world the Lord has created around me. It takes my breath away to see the beauty of this place and realize that our eternal heavenly home will far surpass any of the temporary beauties of earth. Our God is so amazing! Then to think that God Himself is even more beautiful than heaven...WOW!
