Soft Falls The Snow

Soft falls the snow on the frozen ground,
Slowly, gently without a sound,
And all at once this cold, dark street
Is transformed into something so lovely.

Out peeps the snowdrop from beneath the stone,
Brave little warrior all alone,
Ready to stand in the icy blast
Here in the depths of winter.

Sometimes life can seem so bleak,
Sometimes we feel faint and weak;
Yet so quietly peace can come
When we look to the Saviour.

Trust Him then with all your heart,
Let all doubts and fears depart;
Fix your eyes upon His face,
His is the power and the glory.
