My family,

In a comment on my last poem, my dear friend Patricia (who is one of many of you who's prayers have help me through a very tough time) said that she can't wait to read about my lessons learned. I gave her a quick summary. I thought to share it with all of you. Thank you again for your prayers, they carried me through

Humility is a lesson learned over and over again.

I am human, though saved through the Blood, I still battle a sinful nature

So much grace is needed to go thru everyday.

Going through everyday life in this environment has tested and pushed me around

Repeat temptations of my past show that I am not as “good” as I believe

Always a breath away from disaster, teetering on the edge of the abyss

Continued prayers from friends and family are powerful

Every prayer is answered and that God is good all the time

I now understand the song “I need You more, more than yesterday..."

So many times I’ve stumbled and yet more the Lord has picked me back up

Sincere love is shown through obedience, even if it is others obedience

Under His grace is where I want to be, for I am not able on my own

Faith is harder than it sounds

Faith is so powerful that a lot of the time it is the only thing that can sustain me

I confess that I am so weak, I need more of the Lord everyday

Christ’s sacrifice is still unfathomable to me.

I have learned to thank God for all things

Every time I stray, He calls me back

Never think that God has abandoned you

Temptations are everywhere, even the ones you thought conquered already.

I will praise God in all things.

Always read the Word, it sustains you.

Many days I focused on the world, yet the Lord has called my attention back

Rain falls into our lives, it grows the seed in our heart

Even when I am weak, He is strong

Doubt creeps into a heart so easily, Faith can conquer that doubt

Eat of the Daily Bread, it sustains life

Enjoy the blessings in your life, even if you have to stop and look for them.

Many blessings are overlooked by looking at everything else

Evil is in the world, but great is He that is in me, than that in the world

Do not try to fight battles on your own

Fine job, Christian!!! You've certainly outlined what it means to live under the blood, stating so eloquently that yes, we all sin and fall short, but His grace is sufficient. What would we do and where would we be without grace??? I don't even want to imagine. If someone hasn't already reminded you or if you haven't already remembered the html codes for bold type, send me an e-mail and I'll let you know. I PRAISE THE LORD THAT HE'S BRINGING YOU HOME SAFELY!... greater still, with your faith intact. We all love you and have missed you terribly!

Do not try to fight battles on your own This is the key to winning battles! I remember when I was returning to Christ after a long wayward walk, I was trying to do it on my own, not giving God full control, and I realized it can't be in my strength that I stay on the right way because my flesh was way too week! "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord!"
Keep looking toward Christ's power and He will give you strength to withstand the wiles of the devil! Love Danette

'HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT - I AM REDEEMED!' It doesn't get any better than this. Thank you Lord for answered prayers.
My dear brother in Christ, you are a true witness and this is a powerful testimony. Bless you!

Christian, we have all sailed the stormy seas of temptation. I have sailed the North Sea in a horrific storm, but the sea of temptation is much rougher to withstand. Only by the grace of God do we stay afloat. God bless. Thomas

It all boils down to standing on faith - faith in the One True God. All else is fluff. I believe we are exiting a time in history when it was eas(ier) to play church and religion and (seemingly) get away with it. Times are getting harder and will continue to and our faith IS what will see us through ... by Grace; through Faith we can run and not grow weary and cross the finish line of a race well-run and won in His Victory. Amen, Christian! You're humility and desire to seek and find God's Heart has been a tremendous witness and testimony of what it's all about. Continuing in prayer for you always - Blessings, Jody

This is really good. And so true! We are all like the disciples in that boat when the storm came and Jesus was asleep. But He is always in control, if only we call on Him and let Him take control. In Christ's Love,

Julia

"Faith is so powerful that a lot of the time it is the only thing that can sustain me
I confess that I am so weak, I need more of the Lord everyday"
....Can't we all say this! Your heart-cry to God for His help shows that your heart is tender toward Him. ...Thank the Lord for that....Tonight on a news report I heard a group of people claiming that they are Athiests. It was sad to hear. Some of them were children. What would we do without the Lord. I feel so sorry for these people. I hope their own words will knock them in the forehead and wake them up. ... Your poem shows a strong desire to know the Lord. what would you do without Him? What would we all do? ... Helen
