ocean and devouring

"If I told my friends......
they would just tell me
to pray about them."

done that, Lord.
(silence)
So, now what."

"This is PRAYER, child?"

"Aw. Come ON, Lord!
How many times
have I told You
'bout all my
bad dreams?
Gimme' a BREAK!"

"Child,
Who are you speaking to?"

"Eh.........the One
Who made Neptune?"

[NOD.]

"I couldn't help that, Lord.
I saw somethin' about
Neptune, on the news
yesterday."

[SOLEMN NOD.]

"I don't what it was
about; it was some
science thing.
(silence)
Who cares.
So what about me."

"Tell Me about Neptune, child."

"Well. I don't KNOW.
(silence)
It's some planet."

"Very good, child."

"I think it's near Pluto,
but I think it's bigger
than Pluto.
I'm not sure."

"Go on, My little one."

"Uh. I don't KNOW!
I don't think
it gets much sun,
so it's probably cold."

"Good.
What is it made of?"

"Uhm......I don't know;
rocks and ice?"

[NOD.]
"And what else, child?"

"Uh. I don't know, Lord.
I'm too tired to look this
stuff up."

"You don't have to, child.
Tell Me."

"Why don't I just ask the readers?
They're probably
smarter than me, anyhow."

"No. I want you to tell Me,
My precious."

(silence)
"Well, it's rocks, ice,
and......"

"I'm listening, child."

"And.......eh......
Your power?"

[NOD.]
