Watching the news and our political process in full swing, I amazed a how gullible the American public can be about what they hear. They just don’t stop and think anymore and our politicians play to that for their own self interest. I may be a bias conservative, but it is my belief that the Democratic presidential hopefuls have committed the biggest form of treason this country has ever seen just for their own political gain. And incredibly enough, the Republicans are following the same pattern of treason because the Democratic Party has done such a great job of selling a bill of goods to the American people, popular opinion for our President and our troops in Iraq continues to decline.

Let’s set the record straight with some truth for a change. We are not in IRAQ anymore to fight the Iraqi people. We are not there to be the world police. We are not there for the oil. We are not there to create a firestorm back here at home. Start with the fact that it takes our forces and equipment 90 days to respond to a “Conflict” in the Middle East with any hope of having the force equipped to defend our interests. This makes it more risky (more risks, more deaths) for our troops as the enemy has time to dig in. We have no real base or military facility close enough to respond quickly with a large force. What bases we do have in the area are limited by the hosting country in size, equipment, and personnel. They don’t want a big build up of American forces for fear that they will no longer have control of their own country.

With the rantings of a mad man with nuclear weapons to the east of Iraq threatening Israel and the United States, we can’t afford not to have the forces over there necessary to detour Iran from killing hundreds of thousands in the area, especially in Israel. We are committed to protect this valuable friend in the event they are attacked. Without the United States, Israel is in a fight for their existence against the whole world. If Israel goes, guess whose next?

The war in Iraq isn’t what our Democratic Party wants us to believe. Yes, it is a tragedy to say the least, but it isn’t our President, our troops, or the Iraqi people who are responsible for this military action. Don’t forget that it was the terrorists (Cowards R Us) who have drawn the line in the sand. Iraq was not a decision that could have been avoided; it was a must for our security. Democrats may have been ”for it before they were against it”, but they must stop with the self-preservation techniques and work to pull a country together instead of apart as both parties seem to do at election time.

Understand that you cannot support the troops and be against the President in military decisions. Remember his post even out ranks our Joint Chiefs in our military. To take shots at him about military matters is to attack the troops directly. The Joint Chiefs are sharp and assist the Commander and Chief in his decision making process. If the handling of the war in Iraq was flawed by the President, then the troop’s actions are flawed. You can’t pick and choose. But I guess treason is okay for political gain.

With all this going on, I wonder how close we are to the return of our Messiah? Maybe pulling out of Iraq would be like pouring gasoline on the fire of the middle east. The United States leaves Irael with no alternative but to take out Iran's nuclear capabilities. This, in turn, would tip Iran and their friend "Soviet Union" to respond. Does this all sound familiar?

Christians around the world should be prepared and keep focused on these events. Understanding biblical prophesies is very important and exciting. The return of the Messiah is near. Are you ready?
