Poetry
In a certain wedding,
Caterers served the gathering
A sweet semi-liquid pastry
Steaming hot from the pantry
The tasty dish supplied in a cup
Along with a spoon when lifted up
Measured about one foot in length
The dish meant to boost anyone’s health
How to partake of this delicious item
Everyone wondered and it became high time
Suddenly everyone looked at the bride
Pin drop silence from every side
She took the spoon in her hand
And into the bowl it did land
A little of that delicacies she lifted
To her husand affectionately granted
Likewise, he too offered his wife
Wishing all the best in life
In split second laughter danced
Joy and giggling there was found
‘She is very brainy’ everyone did praise
As their spoon they did raise
The crowd soon followed her example
Making room for fun so ample
Likewise, do you worry, fret or swoon
When life offers such strange spoons
Try serving others and you will delight
For others in turn will serve you alright
Only the one who drops ‘self’
Will be able to gain that ‘self’
Serving one’s own self is not service
Doing so, you’ll in life be only a novice
