Two little six year olds are upstairs,
in Lynn's room, playing Barbies.
It's the first week of first grade.
Lynn goes to Lutheran church.
Her new friend, named Julie,
goes to Hebrew school.

What's 'tis?"

"Uh, d'as a book gran'mom
gah't me."

"'I'z a pret'y book."

"Yeah."

"I like 'ta pic'hures."

"Uh, huh."

"That's 'a pretty pic'hure.
(silence)
Who's 'at?"

"Huh? Oh,
thas' Jesus."
