Matthew 6:27

Jesus told us not to worry in His word. He didn't suggest it, He didn't casually mention it, He commanded it! Actually, worrying is a sin, because its putting our trust and energy into something other than God.
Thank goodness, the bible isn't just a book of philisophies or thoughts. Its a book of the TRUTH. So when God, in His word tells us He will come through for us, He will! The reason I am writing this is because I just got this revelation today and thought it would be a good thing to pass along! Just to get things straight, I'm not an expert on God, but I always say, He IS an expert on me, and He knows just what I need to hear.
God is a God of mercy and grace and He understand when we fall short and worry. Of all the temptations in the world, the temptation to worry about the future is probably the hardest to pass up, and I know everyone has given into it at one time or another.....its even harder to pass up that a good meal, lol. But when we do tell the spirit of worry "no, thank you, I choose to trust GOD" we do see great things happen. Actually, we may not even see our situation changed overnight, though God is always at work. But when we give up worry, I can GAURANTEE you, these things will take place.
-you will sleep better
-you will feel better overall
-you will look better, probably because you are happier
-you will have more joy because His joy will be your strength
-you will be able to meditate on the Lord and His goodness, because you will have more room in your mind, once the worry leaves.....
There are probably many other things that will take place once you omit worrying from your life. Like the passage says-It aint gonna do nothing good for you, why keep it around? Its useless and harmful, and I don't know about you, but it makes me feel ill......who needs it? Only the devil to scare us and cause us to doubt God. It's His tool, not OUR problem. Leave it alone. Let the devil harbour the spirit of worry, don't have anything to do with it. Focus on Gods laws and decrees, they bring "health to our bones."..........Rest in Jesus arms. His yoke is easy, His burden is light and in Him worry has no place, theres no room, theres too much grace! God is too good to allow something as stupid as worry into His Kingdom! And we are of His Kingdom, right? We are co-heirs with Christ. Therefore, worry and all of the other tools of the enemy to bring us down don't have any right over us. We are too busy resting in God, trusting Him, and serving Him......
So after reading this, and me writing it, are we never going to worry again? Probably not. But I hope for my sake and yours that the next time we worry the Holy Spirit reminds us how stupid it is, and how as His children, we deserve so much better!
