"These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever." Joshua 4:7b

"Joshua set up the twelve stones that have been in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the preists who carried the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day."-Joshua 4:9-10

The Lord brought the Jewish people
into their Promised Land
He made them all victorious
just as He had planned.
He commanded Joshua
to place stones near the river bank
so they would forever remember
and always give God thanks.
He said "When your children
ask what these stones are for
tell them God is faithful
now and forever more."
That they are My inheritance
the centre of my will
I will fight their battles
they need just be still.
The Lord has parted waters
He has always made a way
for His children, His treasures
whenever they would pray.
Remember the stones in Israel
a reminder of God's love
and that as His special children
we recieve help from Heaven above.
