It is their due!
And I heard the altar cry,
Yea, Lord God the Almighty,
true and vast are Thy judgments!
[Revelation 16:6-7]
****************************
"Yeah? So.....eh, when's
this gonna' happen, Lord?"

"Why do you want to know, child?"

"Well, I heard about this stuff;
You know - tossing the bad guys into
the pit, and all."

[NOD.]

"So? What about this schlamegel
who didn't do the back part of
my lawn? You know, Lord;
the schleppe who took my money
and skiddadled? When HE's going
in the pit?"

"It was raining, child."

"Yeah. I know.
I already
got that story.
Lord, that was
two days ago. Today in
ole' San Anton' it was
hot and sunny.
The grass was crisp
and dry."

[NOD.]

"Lord, my entire lawn's
about the size of a postage
stamp - and, that's counting
the two fire ant hills.
This has happened to me,
twice, now - and I gotta'
run these bozos down."

[NOD.]

"What? Is this some sort'a
learning experience?
Being sheistered isn't
a new experience for any of
us, Lord, over the age 2."

"You are still trying to
make Me laugh, child."

"Yeah; maybe.
It's in my blood;
what can I say?"

"Go to sleep, child."

"What's THAT gonna' do?
Tomorrow morning, I'll
still wake up - and that
backyard's gonna' be
just as high!"

"Perhaps, child."

"Yeah. I guess You're right, Lord.
What's that thing about crying
in the night, but joy comes
in the morning?"

"Look for It, child."

"I can't find it, Lord.
I've looked.......
it's got somethin' to
do with weeping only
lasts for the night."

[NOD.]

".......but, joy comes in the
morning. I think it's
in the Psalms.
(silence)
Or, maybe Shakespeare said it."
(silence)
It ain't always true, Lord."

"No, My child.
It isn't"

"'Darn right, it's not!"

"Unless, My child,
you have turned to Me."
*********************************
Weeping may endure
for a night,
But, joy comes in the morning.
[Psalm 30:5]
