Things To Do List

Delight in each moment granted this day
Watch the butterflies dance and play.

Follow the path to the shimmering stream
Then rest by the willow and start to dream.

Wake to the music of blissful breeze
Rise up to the song heard among trees.

Go for a stroll under the moon
While the lake lights up near the dune.

Have a drink from the fountain of life
That heals all my sorrows and strife.

Embrace the time to silently pray
Thanking the Lord for the gifts of today.

Julie, I am in a hurry to get off to work, as usual, but I wanted to take the time to comment on this, quickly. First, may I use this one on Dust On The Bible? Then, I love the little poem. Just a few days ago I was thinking how I miss out on so much to take delight in seeing as I am driving. I decided instead of thinking about things my mind needs a rest from anyway, to take in the beauty and the interesting things around me. Too often I take these things for granted, for I see them so often.
May I suggest to all who read this comment: As you are driving one day pretend you are a vacationer, traveling through your neighborhood or state for the first time. You may be surprised at what you discover all over again.
