Shaft of Light

Behold the darkness in the sky
Dark clouds viewed with my eye
Swallowing the clear blue sky
A storm brewing is what I spy

Darkness grows and clouds tumble
Hear and feel the thunder rumble
In the darkness a heart can stumble
A threat in the thunder’s rumble

But there is something else to view
Something that can make a heart new
A respite from darkness just for you
A shaft of hope, the light shines through

On the backdrop of dark the light shines
It is that hope for which my heart pines
Breaking through the gloomy cloud lines
A promise through this darkness shines

As the storm rages and blows
There is something that a heart knows
Through the storm the light grows
God is there through the highs and lows

I really hate that I'm so behind on my reading here at FaithWriters. But I know that God's timing is perfect and your poem is just one more show of proof... a very bright spot in my day today. Beautifully done!!!!

You sound as though you are really on the road to VICYORY, Christian. God has sent you a shaft of light and you have headed for it. God will meet you more than half way. I BELIEVE THAT VICTORY'S ON ITS WAY
