It’s Not Alright…

It is not alright, it is forgiven
The falls I make in this world I’m livin’
I make mistakes and judgment errors
But I no longer live with guilt or terrors

It is not alright, it is forgiven
These sins that kept my heart grievin’
I in this world my flesh resides
Peaks and valleys change as tides

It is not alright, it is forgiven
By this sacrifice I am promised heaven
My mistakes are not okay at all
But forgiven when on Jesus I call



Brothers and Sisters,

I battle, I war, I fall, and I rise…and so the pattern continues. As I reside in this world I am tempted. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail, but I am ever victorious because of My Lord.

This is to remind us that there will be times when into temptation we fall. “There is none righteous, no not a one” means that we will sin. Too often it is said “It’s alright” to offer comfort. I fear that this comfort may breed complacency in the heart of a believer. Our sins are not alright, but they are forgiven. Forgiveness requires repentance, so we know that it is not alright. We can and will be forgiven when we repent, but that does not make it alright. We do not to be subject to guilt or shame; we must be subject to the Lord.

Thank you for all your prayers as I am in enemy territory. I feel and appreciate them. I want to thank all of you for your comments on Battle Scars, especially Treava, thank you for opening up.

Christian, I encourage you to not be too hard on yourself. God's mercy is from everlasting to everlasting. His compassions are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness. When we are not faithful, He is faithful, still. I've been praying a certain prayer, one I had not focused on too much in the past. It is this: "Lord, deliver me from the evil one." When we come to Christ, at salvation, he saves our soul, but the enemy of our soul is always there, looking for an opening, a crack in the door, where he can come in and bring torment. His goal is to take our peace. I have found this prayer to be 'freeing'. The Lord will cover you with his wings, he will sweep down and rescue you...and not only you, but all who look to him. When you said that this comfort might breed complacency, I was reminded of 1 Timothy 4:2. The author was speaking of those who "depart from the faith" when he says "Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;" The imagery in this verse is fantastic. I've burned myself (on accident, of course) with a hot iron a couple of times. Painful! But I don't want to begin to imagine being SEARED with one. When searing has taken place, there's nothing left to burn. We should be as easily convicted (burned in our heart) today as we were the day we became saved... if not more so. We ought to remain tender to the Lord's conviction. Yes, we are forgiven. And we need to have confidence in that. But that doesn't make our sins alright. Great job! very thought provoking! BRAVO!

Love Danette"What Denette said reminded me that you have been in the services. I remember now that you said you were going, if I am not mistaken.... You are in the enemy's (Satan) territory. You often sound discouraged. No wonder. God may seem far from you, but He is not. He is close... That is easy for us, who rarely leave the safety of our house, to say. But my heart goes out to you. I am breathing a prayer for you right now.... May God be with you and keep you in His care. May He give you a special touch from above. May you feel the angels around you, no matter what you may be going through right now.... Helen

This almost sounds like it could be a song. I'm so thankful the million times I fail, Jesus love and forgiveness will prevail! God is awesome. Hi Christian,
Thank you for sharing this. It is the very message I try to reiterate always – applied to all aspects of our lives including marriage will see beauty come alive. We cannot play down sin, when we do that we no longer appreciate what Christ did for us. Unless we accept the wrong we do, humbly go to God seeking his forgiveness, then accepting that forgiveness and losing the guilt, we’ll forever be bound. Unfortunately, not many like to be told this truth, the messenger is seen as the enemy. Oh how my heart bleeds, knowing that the comfort zones we sit in, nursing what we call petty sins (familiarities) are the very thing hindering us from living life to its fullest. It presents us a short-cut to eternal damnation. And unless we go down in prayer and fasting for our sisters and brothers (out of Christian love) their eyes will remain blind and they'll forever see those who love them as the enemy. Repentance is the way to forgiveness so that we can walk right with God.

Christian, you are an inspiration and a blessing to us all. May the message you bring be received in the spirit of love and may hearts cry out for God tonight. God Bless!
