Sin invades
Voice of God
Sacrifices made

Prophets come
People heard
They turned away
From God's Word

Baby born
Sinless One
Mary's told
He's God's Son

Jesus grew
Taught of Grace
Believe in Him
He's the way

Pharisee's conspire
Make Him fall
Can not see
Beyond their laws

Jesus heals
Blind can see
Lame can walk
People freed

In the garden
Jesus wept
Take this cup
Disciples slept

Crowd appears
Torches lit
He's the one
Judas kiss

Back is whipped
Jesus tried
Cock is crowing
Jesus denied

Crown of thorns
Purple robe
Cross to bear
But not alone

Hands are pierced
Feet then side
Jesus spoke
Then he died

Broken body
Blood is spilt
Took upon
our sin and guilt

Sky grew dark
Disciples left
Placed in tomb
Joseph's gift

Disciples mourned
For 3 days
Angels guard
Empty grave

Mother's visit
Word is spread
He is not here
Rose from the dead

Disciples speechless
Thomas doubts
Touch my scars
Disciples shout!

Jesus teaches
Watch for signs
Then He's lifted
To the sky

Mighty Savior
Still we wait
His return
Anticipate

I rather enjoyed this one. It is like a Reader's Digest version of the Bible. I mean that in a good way. This took a lot of thought, and you covered all the bases as it were.

Such a simple way to tell the whole story. I don't know what this kind of poetry is called, but I think it has a special name. I never studied poetry, so I don't know the different kinds or forms. I just do my own thing. But this is very artistic, simple and profound at the same time. Great writing. God bless you as you get His message across.....Helen
