By the breath of God
ice is given,
and the broad waters
are frozen fast.

"My screen keeps FREEZING!

"Yes.
I see, child."

"Well, it drives me NUTS:
particularly those little
HOUR GLASSES."

"It is a trial, My precious."

"You wouldn't understand, Lord:
it's a thing of the 21st century.
You don't know anything about it."

[NOD.]
"I made it, child."

"Made what."

"Your century."

"Huh? What d'Ya mean?"

[SMILE.]

"Anyhow, it's just one
of those things, Lord."

[NOD.]

"But, I think it's teaching
me patience."

"Ah. I see."

"Don't You think I've
gotten more patient?"

"Than what."

"Aw, come on!
You know I've
gotten BETTER!"

"Child, to Whom are
you speaking?"

"Eh, I don't know.......
aren't You the One
Who didn't give me
any beauty, savvy,
or physical prowess?"

[NOD.]

"Yeah. I thought so.
How come, Lord?"

"How come what."

"......You refused to
give me any of those
things!"

"'Cuz."

"That's no answer."

"Read My Word, child."

"Why, Lord? Is it in There?"

[NOD.]

"Really? Well, that's
interesting. Let me look;
here's something:

Whatever the Lord pleases,
He does,
in heaven and on earth,
in the seas and all deeps.....
[Psalms 135:6]

Well, at least You
could have given me
some savvy, Lord.
That's real important,
in this century."

"It's not important to Me."

(frown)
"Well, it would have HELPED."

"No, child."

"No what?"

[SILENCE.]

"Aw, don't worry about it, Lord.
It's okay. I kinda' wish You
had made me different,
but, hey......what are 'Ya gonna'
do?"

[SMILE]
"I'm still working on you, child."

"Oy vey."

[SMILE.]

"Hey, Lord? Speaking of
frost and stuff,
what are 'Ya gonna'
do about those bears?"

"What bears, child."

"You KNOW: those guys
up at the North Pole!
They're losing their ice FLOES!
And, they're so CUTE!"

[NOD.]

"Well? What are 'Ya
gonna' do ABOUT it?"

"As I please, child."

He sends out His command
to the earth;
His Word runs very swiftly,
He gives snow like wool;
He scatters the frost like ashes;
He casts out His hail like morsels;
Who can stand before His cold?
He casts out His Word
and melts them;
He causes His wind to blow,
and the waters flow.
