O Lord , how you preserved us when trouble knocked
You extended your arm and placed us on the rock

O Lord how you preserved us when our heart fainted
You drew us nigh and prevented us from being tainted

O Lord how you preserved us when sadness swept
You circled our heart with joy indepth

O Lord how you preserved us when doubt tossed
You sent your word with the power of your cross

O Lord,how you preserved us when all seemed lost
You declared not true child , I’m still the boss

O Lord how you preserved us when we cried so many tears
You sent friends in the form of angels and they took away the fears

O Lord how you preserved us when we were struck down
You pick us up quickly and placed us on higher ground

Oh Lord how you preserved us when we were persecuted
You raised the standard and with your grace you left us rooted

Oh Lord how you preserved us when the battle raged
You said , fear not , I am working behind the stage

Oh Lord how you preserved us till the test was through
You declared my child I carried you

Oh Lord how you preserved us until our testimony came
Blessed are those that trust in your name

Oh Lord how you preserved us till our joy was overflowing
Yes my child , that’s how I do things to see you glowing

Oh Lord how you preserved us under your shield
Your agape love has always been so real

O Lord thank you for preserving us as you sit on the throne
Cause as long as you reign , we are not alone.
