Proverbs 18:8
The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

Have you ever been in a place where people are talking about someone? You start to listen to everything that is being said, and wonder is this true? In situations like this we need to take a moment before we say or do anything. We need to stop and think, what if this was my name that was the center of all this gossip? How would I feel? By doing this we know that we have been victims of such attacks, and what damage it can do. This will give us the wisdom to get up and walk away. Not to spread rumors or engage in a conversation that could be spreading lies on innocent people. It could destroy someone's life and reputation. Let us not be guilty of hurting others by being a part of these attacks. The tongue is a fire. The tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Jas.3:6,8

Watch What We Say

Gossip is a horrible monster, it does so much harm
Many talk about others, and then try and charm

Gossip hurts others, it cuts them to the core
It leaves a lasting wound that remains forever sore

Let us only speak good of others
Don't ever gossip about our sisters and brothers

Gossip can ruin someone's life
It can cut their heart like a knife

The tongue is a powerful weapon indeed
Don't tell lies on others, for this there is no need

Do not engage in this horrible act of deceipt
Rumors that you hear, please don't ever repeat

Spend your time telling others of Jesus Christ
Gossiping about others just is not nice
