made them taste good would
have been a bunch of cinnamon,

invented until the Americas."

"Or chocolate chips: I
definitely know they were
invented by the Aztecs."

"Yes, child."

"And, what's a good
raisin cookie without
chocolate chips?"

"Are you hungry, child?"

"Yeah, I guess.
You know, I looked up
'cake' and 'raisin' in
those Concordance
references, but I
couldn't find anything.
What a waste! Those
guys just don't know
what's important."

[SMILE.]

"Weren't they really
fig cakes? I don't
know; what's a raisin,
anyway?"

[PATIENT SILENCE.]

"Or, maybe, they're
really plums.
No! I think they're
grapes, aren't they?"

[SILENCE.]

"You don't have to
tell, me. Lord.
I could look it up
on the internet,
but I don't feel like it."

[SILENCE.]

"Lord, I bet other
people talk to You
about more important
things. Am I too trivial?"

"No, child.
You are Mine."

"Yes, Lord.
The question is,
what're Ya'gonna'
do with me? Isn't
everything I do
just sort of trivial?"

"Am I, little one?"

(ashamed silence)
"No, Lord."

"Then seek Me, child."

"And not just a bunch
of stale raisins, huh?"

[NOD.]
