The Lonesome Journey

I walk this lonesome journey
Across this narrow land
Doubting all my trials
As a part of Your master plan
I need to feel Your touch
Take hold of my hand
No one seems to understand
No one here really can

This journey isn’t lonesome
Just look back in the sand
You’ll see that He’s held more of you
Than just your tiny hand
This path leads to life
Do not turn away
These trials you’ll overcome
If you continue to live His way

Silent cries are heard in Heaven
There’s One who counts your tears
He knows your deepest aches and pains
And even knows your fears
Listen close and you can hear Him
My child you’re not alone
There is a Friend who comforts
There’s a Friend who wants to be made known

This journey isn’t lonesome
Just look back in the sand
You’ll see that I’ve held more of you
Than just your tiny hand
This path leads to life
Do not turn away
These trials we’ll overcome
If you trust and live my way
