"Tell Me, child."

"I looked it up;
it's one million kilometers wide.
That doesn't really mean much to me;
until I see a picture of the sun
and earth together: WOW!
Earth's just a SPECK!
It's only twelve THOUSAND,
seven HUNDRED and FIFTY-SIX
kilometers big! Whoa!"

"Yes, child."

"That's pretty BIG, Lord!"

"And, since YOU made the
sun.....that means that
You're a whole lot bigger,
huh."

"See, that's just it, Lord."

"What is, My child?"

"You're just too big
for all of us."

"Too big for whom, My precious?"

"Well, like.....me,
for instance."

"Ah, I see."

"You know, and like,
say, if somebody were,
like, crying about something
really small, and You know,
like....insignificant."

"And what is that, child?"

"You know, small....
like, say.......eh,
a little, old cat."

"Yes, child.
I know."

"You do? About what?
WHAT? What do You know,
anyway? Yeah; like,
the grand scheme of things:
all that stuff!
GREAT!
WONDERFUL!
Go stay in Your heavens, Lord!
What do You care about all
this puny stuff, down HERE?"

"I'm with you, child."

"How CAN You be, Lord?
You're just so BIG!
And POWERFUL!
And, like. really....BIG!
You're just TOO much;
sometimes, I don't
even LIKE You!
Ech! Go away!"

"I'm right here, child."

"Well, I don't WANT You here!
What do YOU know about
grief, anyway? HUH?
What do YOU know?
Just go back to that
big sun of Yours!
What do YOU care
about our tiny......"

"Love?"
