May Love Be A Beacon In Your Home

Hope cast its beacon of light from the shores of faith
And Love has found its way to you from what seemed a far-off place
But God in his perfect timing planned that Love would come
And he knew before the foundations of the earth he had the perfect one
So Love has now come to dock and begin a life with you
So now that it is abiding this is what God says to do:

May God always be the center of your union
May you include his guidance and his will in all that you are doing
May you never go to bed with anger in your hearts
May your union be so close that you are never far apart
May you teach one another and encourage each to grow
And may love always be a beacon in your home
May you respect each other’s feelings and never underestimate a hurt
May you always know the gift of love and the beauty of its worth
May you treat each other with kindness and value what they say
May you be a shoulder to a crying heart when things don’t go their way
May you always remember that what you’ve reaped you’ve sown
And may love always be a beacon in your home
May you always esteem the other higher than yourself
May you love each other in the midst of poverty or wealth
May you find time for one another despite the busyness of days
May you exhort one another in love and encourage each to pray
May you never hold a grudge but learn to forgive and to let go
And may love always be a beacon in your home
May a day never pass without the words “I love you” spoken but not in vain
May you bear each other’s burdens and care for each one’s pain
May you love with sheer abandon and give without return
May the happiness of the other be your greatest concern
May you defend one another if bitter words are spoken by a foe
And may love always be a beacon in your home

Let love be a beacon shining bright for all to see
That with the love you have for each other; they are really seeing me!
