Poetry
this is a true story, the part about the flowers and of course the part about God's love!
I went to buy flowers
at the store the other day
for which ones would I choose
which lovely bouquet?
All were vibrant
and all were bright
each bundle of daisies
a beautiful sight!
Then I saw a bushel
that looked kind of worn
a few of its petals
were broken and torn
but these were my favourites
I heard myself say
I loved them so much
I bought them that day.
When Jesus died on the cross
on top of the hill
He died for His favourites
that was God's will.
He paid for us
while yet broken and torn
He loved, how He loves us
in our evil and scorn.
While we are broken,
battered and scarred
were are priceless, and cherished
loved by our Lord!
I picked up the bushel
and brought it home
and just like Jesus
I called them my own!!
