I'm not weak!


In a day and time when everyone seems to have an opinion about everything and everybody, it is very hard to find a person that truly displays an inner strength called "meekness".

What does meekness mean: simply a "quiet confidence". Have you ever seen a man or woman walk in a room and notice that everyone stares or pays attention to them. Most of the time, the person is not aware of it, but everyone knows it and people are attracted to an inner peace and confidence that comes only from God. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about pride or arrogance, but meekness. Meekness is a fruit of the Spirit.

You can't fake it. It is only from God because sometimes it requires that you take blows, shut up, and not defend yourself. I don't know about you, but that's a hard thing to do! But our example in all of this has been Christ. He endured the worst of the worst pain and suffering,having the power to stop it all. But he chose to die and become a curse for us so that we may have eternal life. Even though he knew some would never except him as the Son of God or the savior Jesus Christ stayed and became meek.

Think about Christ. Just because he didn't speak, defend himself, or get down from the cross did it mean he was weak? This same Jesus, called a man from a tomb to rise and walk, healed, set people free and delivered...

Of course not!

Oh, he had the power but he was more interested in pleasing his father, than what man could do to him. In fact, he said that no one can take my life. I, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, am the only one that can lay my life down(See John 6 & John10).

He is the Son of God, Jesus Christ! He had the ability to stop it all, but he chose to endure the cross for you and me! Such an awesome act of love. In essence, I leave you with this.

Never mistake my meekness for weakness, for it is only a display of a quite confidence in Jehovah God to avenge me and fight my battles. It is also a display of another fruit of the Spirit, self control.

Exodus 14:13-14(the message bible)

13) God's word to you, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians(trouble, adversity, pain, suffering, trials...etc) you have seen today you shall never see again!!

14) Hey there, the Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest!
