Marriage

In Bible study the week before last,
we were in the Book of Acts, chapter six;
and a comment made was being explained,
and suddenly something just 'clicked'

It was as if a light had been turned on,
words that before I never quite knew,
were now shining bright before my eyes,
their meaning now clear and true.

It always amazes me when God does that,
takes something muddled and makes it clear,
it wasn't the words that had it mixed up,
I had not the right ears, so I could not hear.

But now the words just jumped off the page,
filling my mind with their light,
and it filled me with joy to really understand,
that I was so dear in God's sight.

It made me instantly think of you,
and all the words that shine in my mind,
for all the thoughts that overflow my heart,
to express my love, the right words I can't find.

So I will make do with just those three,
the ones that are glowing and true,
and tell you over and over again,
Oh, how much I LOVE YOU!!

Just three words, but oh, what they hold,
joy and peace and tender sweet care,
and with them I always give you my heart,
and hold yours in this love that we share.

A gift from God, this wonder of love,
always there, with a soft gentle glow,
and I am filled with joy and peace,
basking in the greatest love I'll ever know.

For God is the author of all good things,
and He gave us our love so true,
and my days will always be filled with joy,
to show how much I LOVE YOU!!!
