I awoke this morning to realize
that summer is rushing by
and before I know it, it will be gone,
quick and soft as a baby's sigh.

I want to hold on to each warm day,
and every starlit velvet night,
but time cannot be held in the hands,
it's here, then gone from sight.

Some things tho, remain a constant,
they are there every single day,
God's love shines through and touches my life,
in a thousand different ways.

The other thing that is always there,
as sure as each day's dawn is new,
is the gift that God's love gave to me,
and that is my love for you!

Even though the landscape outside
will go from green to gold to bare,
it is such a wonder to know that you
and your love will always be there.

So praise to God is always part of my day,
thanksgiving and joy are too,
for through all the changes that may come in my life,
You'll always know that I LOVE YOU!!
