I'm looking forward to a brand new day
One so bright and clear
This day I’m looking forward to
I pray is very near

For on this day we’ll take our steps
Into a brand new land
A place where our dear loved ones wait
To run and take our hand

They have a precious story to tell
Many wonders they can show
For our King reigns in this new land
And oh I long to go.

Stop and think, can you just imagine?
happy moments we will share
They say there are no tears in heaven
But such happiness can we bare?

Look now for those golden streets
where any minute we shall see
Our King and Master upon His throne
And the angels on bended knees

When pondering this moment to come
chills run deep inside
With the vision of our Mighty Lord
and a home with Him reside

Why my precious Loving Lord
Would allow me to enter in
Is way beyond my understanding
But my heart is free with Him

That loving grace and merciful Love
Shown deep down in my heart
He called my name, I heard his voice
Right then my sins depart

Oh joyous day we soon shall see
I pray you know my Lord
For till that day he calls our name
those first steps I’ll be longing for!
