THE POWER IN THE FIRE

When Christians pray and are moved to a level in that prayer mood, depending on the seriousness and urgent need for a change; the fire of God is often called upon to destroy enemy headquarters and evil altars in one’s life, family lineage, possession and situation to bring relief, forward movement, promotion, breakthrough and most importantly deliverance.
Those who know the power within the fire use this information to advantage, it is revelation power in knowledge for them but for those who still remain ignorant about the Almighty Himself and His ways, then they fall, unfortunately into the category of those who perish amongst God’s people because of lack of knowledge
So how come many Christians, having read about, seen or even heard about the power in the fire, seem not to know the authority which is at their finger tips(or should I say tip of the tongue) and command to be or not to be, as the need arises, that which is a source of torment, sorrow, depression and oppression in their lives, rather than lamenting, drowning in self pity, speaking negativity further making the situation worse and at times even surrendering to feelings of hopelessness and helplessness giving the enemy greater power and hold over the situation.

Fire is described basically in the Bible as the symbol of God’s powerful presence, where HE CHOOSES TO MANIFEST Himself for various purposes and reasons
Let us take a quick study of the different ways God showed Himself in the Bible and learn more from these manifestations and how we can have a better and stronger relationship with Him through this revelation

A CONSUMING FIRE—Deutoronomy4:23-24---,
(Leviticus 6:12-Fire that continually burnt on the altar, consuming the burnt/incense offerings)----And the fire in the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offering


THE AWESOME PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT----Matthew 3:11, Luke 3:16(John the Baptist describing Jesus the Christ and what he was about to do in the lives of people)

ALSO WHERE HIS GLORY ABOUNDS---Ezekiel 10:6-7

WHERE HIS HOLINESS IS EXPECTED---Deuteronomy 4:23-24

WHERE HE IS AVAILABLE AS SHIELD AND BUCKLER(protector) ---2Kings 6:17 God’s protective hedge around Elisha-Chariots of FIRE and horses (verse 16-And he answered, fear not: for they that are with us are more than they that are with them)

ALSO IN HIS WRATH AS AN AVENGING GOD and when He is punishing the wicked (Genesis 19:24-25---On Sodom and Gomorrah—raining fire and sulphur from Heaven), 1 Corinthians 3:13--- The reward of the wicked

ELIJAH AND THE FIRE-SHOW AGAINST PROPHETS OF BAAL—1Kings 18:24b&38(God proving, and Glorifying Himself, while also disgracing the boastful and mocking enemy)

THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL AND THE PILLAR OF FIRE by night during the exodus from Egypt—to protect, to give warmth in the cold nights and to give night light(Genesis 13:21)

THE FIRE IN THE BURNING BUSH THAT MOSES BEHELD, which refused to consume the tree (God’s awesome presence) --- At the mountain of God, Horeb God appeared to Moses-Exodus 3:2

THE TONGUES OF FIRE(Acts2:3) in the book of Acts chapter two on the day of Pentecost, that fell upon all who were gathered together with the disciples of Jesus Christ just soon after His ascension

All this is amazing and God is indeed a wonder because He reveals Himself to us even to redeem us from all situations that threaten to overwhelm us, reminding us of the power within us and the authority that He has equipped us with from the beginning in Genesis 1 to help and aid us even in this world of wickedness where our common enemy the devil is always battling to crush us body, soul and spirit

Elisha asked for the eyes of his servant to be opened to see the shield God had put around them to confirm that as he Elisha had spoken, he had no need of fear.

Moses was reminded by God Himself when the Children of Israel were between the `devil and the deep blue sea´ and they felt so threatened and afraid, God told him, he did not need to call onto Him, JUST POINT THE STICK in your hand towards the red sea!

Remember, when that feeling of hopelessness threatens to crush you or your emotions are overwhelming, home is in crisis, marriage is shaky, relationship is unstable, ministry is crumbling, finances are in the red, even your new life in Christ is looking meaningless or frustrating because of the type of brethren around you (remember JESUS SHOULD ALWAYS BE YOUR ONLY FOCUS, ALWAYS!); run to His word, it is full of wisdom, comfort, sound advice, courage and FIRE!
