Marriage

I imagined walking into a room,
I was handed a small scrapbook,
and knew that I could fill its pages
all I need do was look.

There ahead lay the word "Love"
with a pink flower drenched in dew
and I gently placed in on page one
They belonged there, I just knew.

Over here there was a small word
glowing in the softest blue,
"Joy" lay there among the violets,
this was to be page two.

"Happiness" sparkled there in the grass,
such a lovely brilliant white,
Lilies of the Valley accompanied it,
page three was a beautiful sight.

The words multiplied, popping up all over,
my book was a full as can be,
It was about all the wonderful gifts
you brought when God gave you to me.

The book keeps on growing, new words every day,
every one an expression so true,
and I cannot ever thank God enough
for the joy of loving you!
