Leave your fresh green colour
for my yellow golden brown
said a young warm sun
to a leaf hanging down

But the green is my beauty
and my beauty is my crown
said the proud new leaf
with a big haughty frown

But gold is for kings
and is worn as a ring
said the young warm sun
with an attitude of fun

But the green is for life
and your words cause me strife
can i not take a break
for my life is at stake

So the leaf did not agree
but then that was not to be
for the sun shinning down
turned the leaf golden brown.
