I use this as a lesson tool
in jerusalem there was a pool
five porches in a single bay
a pallet where an old man lay
a stranger came compassion filled
and asked would he rather be healed

ive lain here many night and day
so would you then rather be healed
iv sought the will i need to pray
and so would u rather be healed
i cannot walk what can i say
but would you still rather be healed
oh but i cannot find the way
and so i say would you be healed

my years have been but thirty and eight
dear friend would you rather be healed
so many here that know our fate
and yet wont you rather be healed
an angel stirs the water clean
behold you would rather be healed
but no one here to put me in
i ask again would you be healed

with many words he rambled on
his story so patiently borne
our savior not inclined to talk
told him to pick his bed and walk
to trust the word, he did not know
but up he got and marvelled so
the name of whom had made him whole
he could not tell a single soul
