My World Is Secure

Thanks to Mom and Daddy
And a special kind of love,
My world’s secure and steady
As the sun that shines above;
And they love me - yes, they love me,
But the thing that makes me safe
Is that they love each other,
And that gives me special faith.

For I’m just a little fella
And I need a home, it’s true;
Growin’ up in this old world today
Is very hard to do;
I’m so glad that Mommy loves me
And that Daddy thinks I’m grand -
But my little heart beats faster
When I see him take her hand!

Then I wiggle in between them
And we dance around the room,
And my Daddy tells my Mommy
That he like her new perfume;
Not a thing this world can offer -
Not a puppy or a dove
Can secure and make me safer
Than my Mom and Daddy’s love!
