If you'd hold it together
Forever and aye ~
Remember this, as life slips by;
Not that the guilty are
Punished and bleed ~
But that the innocent, merciful be.


Forgiveness and mercy walk hand in hand,
Building a bridge that even can span
Grave disappointment, sorrow and tears ~
Lasting ~ enduring ~to the end of our years.
