God’s gift didn’t come in a box
all tied with a pretty bow.
It came within the heart of man
so God’s love would show.

God’s gift wasn't wrapped in paper
with many different colors,
It was wrapped in swaddling cloth
and was unlike any other.

God’s gift was not put under a tree
as other gifts are placed.
Instead it was nailed to the cross
to demonstrate God’s grace.

God’s gift was carefully chosen
picked by God’s own hand.
A gift so precious and so rare
is suitable for any man.

God’s gift is a gift of love
it cannot be bought or sold.
it is heaven’s special treasure
and more valuable than gold.

So love it with all your heart
and cherish it with all your might.
God’s special gift to mankind
is His son Jesus Christ.
