Just where is it; did I miss it?
I know there’s something missing;
It must be big, too big to hit,
An all-important one thing;

I know it’s here, I can feel it,
An elephant in the dark;
It’s way much bigger than a little bit,
And it throws a spark;

Oh, my gosh, I think I saw it;
No! It’s just the lightning;
I’m so blind, I must admit;
I can’t see the right thing;

It’s so big, I think I missed it;
The truth’s as big as You;
I think and think while I sit,
And think until I’m blue;

Oh, gee-whiz, now I see it;
The truth and You are one;
I am such a nitwit,
While You’re still God’s Son.
