Once there was a man,
Who had a stupid brain;
It had a stupid owner,
And Bob was his name;

Boy, he was stupid;
He did some stupid things;
Dumb people outran him;
‘Round him ran some rings;

Then, one day, he got so smart,
Everyone let out a shout!
Those he knew sat and wondered,
“What is this all about?”

He began to talk
About amazing stuff;
Stuff bigger than him;
Was this some great bluff?

He talked about a Man
Risen from the dead;
How he gave up sin,
And went for Him, instead;

Many people liked it better,
When he was so dumb;
Now that he was smarter,
They were all so glum;

But he didn’t mean it,
This one, once so stupid;
He must have been saved
By the divine Cupid;

I heard that he died,
That one who once was dumb;
And Jesus, who loves stupid people,
Took him in, by gum!
