Marriage

I look out to see the sun up so high,
dappling golden light through the trees,
and watch the traffic rushing by,
wishing they would all just stop and see...

The wonder there is in a blade of grass,
or a tiny plant just coming out of the ground,
the branches waving their bounty of leaves,
the touch of God's hand is here all around.

It reminds me so of how far too easy it is,
to take for granted all the joy God's given me,
to stop giving thanks for all the wonder I have,
for His loving hands that have set me free.

I see His touch in the smallest things,
and He fills my heart with His gifts from above,
and the most treasured gift that God blessed me with
is the incredible wonder and joy of our love!

Why am I surprised that God knows me so well,
that He would be the only One who could do,
the exact right thing at exactly the right time,
and make all my dreams come true...

He looked in my heart and saw the wish,
the longing I had for a special 'someone'..
and He gave me so much more than I had dreamed of
I just knew our love was something only He could have done.

Now my heart is always filled with joy,
I thank my Father above that every day love is renewed
and never want to forget to tell
a thousand times a day how I LOVE YOU!!
