Oh, my gosh, I think I got it!
Not good enough to get to heaven;
Despite good deeds, a spiritual dip,
Because of sin, polluting leaven;

If I’m so good, I must be God,
I won’t go down to ‘heck’;
But if I’m the One that all should laud,
Why can’t I balance my own checks?

Oh, my goodness, what a crime!
I can’t save myself;
I’ll be lost, for more than time,
What a farce, no real self-help;

But like I said, I think I got it;
The God, Who’s why I’m here,
Made, out of love, this li’l dip,
And with same love wants me near;

So He came, like One as me,
(He didn’t even know when He’d return;)
With love, died on a tree,
So I won’t have to burn;

Then He came back, (imagine that!)
And it proved that He made me;
He gave heaven to this brat,
Because He loves to show mercy;

So if you see me with a grin,
And wonder of my joyful fit,
It’s because He washed my sin,
And it’s because now I got it,

But there’s one thing that makes me sad,
I’m afraid you won’t be there;
Just turn to Jesus; make Him glad,
Repent of sin, if you dare;

So when I’m there, if I see you,
We’ll dance with joy; two holy dips;
We will dance, because He’s true,
And because He helped us get it.
