Eternity Lives in Me
Is this all there is? I asked as a child
There must be so much more!
I felt such stirrings deep in my heart
And a longing I just could not ignore.
Where does God live? I wanted to know
Is it a place ~ somewhere far away?
And when I die, tell me where will I go?
Will I then see a bright new day?
We all have this longing for eternity
Placed in our souls by a Provident God
Who knew us before we existed
Whose been there every step we’ve trod
It may feel like a restlessness......or
A deep hidden hole needing filled
Only God can fill it with the glory of His Son
And your unsatisfied soul is stilled
Trapped somewhere deep inside of us
Is this longing to be set free
Eternity lives in the hearts of men
Eternity lives in me…..

Julia, this is excellent. We do all have a built in longing for eternity. That is probably why the atheists spend so much time and effort resisting God, because they know there must be a God, and this makes them uncomfortable.
Otherwise, they would just keep silent and try to ignore the teachings of those who do believe. Thanks for sharing.
